2023, Video installation 5 screens, 2,35:1 and 1,77:1, diapositives
Belgium

In July 2021, floods in Belgium caused the destruction of part of the municipality of Pepinster and the death of some of its inhabitants.
In the centre of Pepinster, there is an iconic bar whose name
Amon nos autes means 'Home' in Walloon.

Through the projection of ready made an videos giving voice to the victims, this collection of screens and images inhabits the disaster, reweaves the place and rebuilds the link. The composite images bear witness to the materiality of a disaster and evoke loss, mourning and rebuilding.

How do the inhabited past and the destroyed present coexist?
What belongs to us when nothing remains?
Who are we when nothing resembles us anymore?
