IS A DUO OF ARTISTS FOUNDED BY VISUAL ARTIST PATXI ENDARA︎︎ (FR) and myself. We have been collaborating together since 2018 and have decided to form a duo in April 2021 during the artistic residency l'Atelier Alpin organised by the Affluents collective in Hérémence (Switzerland).

THROUGH VIDEO INSTALLATIONS, MARNIE SEEKS TO INHABIT PLACES BY INTEGRATING THEIR SPIRITUAL AND HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS.

The video installation Bateau Béton emerged during an art residency named “Atelier Alpin” in the village of Hérémence in Switzerland.
During the residency, Marnie focused on the singular center of the village: its platform church. The church is special because it houses various administrative and economic buildings within its walls.
Bateau Béton puts in relation different spaces and communities that live, move and work there. The parishioners, shop assistants and school children are organically linked by the concrete. If they do not see each other, they are aware of their presence through sound.
This concrete monument is similar boat or an arch
dominating the valley.

Bateau Béton isa societal representation impregnated with both a productive and spiritual logic.

The installation was initially showed on May 8, 2021 in the church of Hérémence. This project is still being shown.
